Sliding bridges in Sevelen, Switzerland
Successful sliding of two bridges in Sevelen, a crucial milestone in the double-track railway project between Trรผbbach and Buchs SG in Switzerland.

Weight: 350 tons per bridge.
Distances: 10m and 15m shifts.
Time: Under an hour per shift.

2 H-40 strand jacks
2 PA-4-8 pumps
6 Skid shoes with DP-220-200 double acting jacks
With the relocation of the Giessli and Sevelen bridges last weekend, the replacement of three prefabricated bridges that had been moved during the railroad closure was completed.
The Buchser-Giessen bridge was already relocated in August 2023. SBB rail operations were able to resume as planned after the rail closures.
